Shoreline work

Armour stone revetments, rip rap and sheet piling for waterfront homeowners, commercial facilities and government institutions, across the GTA and north to Georgian Bay.

Protection that holds against the water

Erosion never stops on its own. Superior Group builds the structures that stop it, sized to the shoreline and placed to last.

Armour stone and rip rap

Revetments and retaining walls in stone, placed to break wave energy and hold the bank against scour.

Sheet piling

Sheet pile walls driven along the waterline where a hard edge is needed to protect and restore the shore.

Channel and bank work

Channel walls, geotextile lining, grading and erosion-control blankets along creeks and waterways.

Waterfront grading and drainage

Slopes graded and drained once the stone is in, so the bank holds and the water leaves.

Stone that holds the grade

Armour stone retaining walls above the waterline hold the bank and everything behind it. Each piece is set to bear on the one below, so the wall works as one mass rather than a stack.

Year-round work

Channel work does not stop for the season. Geotextile lining and stone placement carry on through winter conditions.

Grading and drainage

Shoreline jobs finish with the ground put back right: graded slopes and new drainage so water goes where it should. Culverts, outfalls and channel walls have their own page under erosion control and water management.
